Easiest Time and Way to Get a Job?

Well... I guess I have been looking for work since I left Coles.  :-\

I would just like to know when is the best time to get a job, and what is the best way to get a job? I would really love to work with the Just Group, but every time I try to apply with them, they always say there is no position available to me. :(

I really want something to do after exams... When study is over, I will be nothing! :P

Just casual retail work. Preferably in a clothing store. :) I've had enough of fast food at Maccas, scanning items at Coles, vending bread at Baker's delight, selling merchandise at Big W, selling fruit at my local fruit shop and working tirelessly in a legal office.

I want some change. :P

You should look out for Christmas casual positions floating around...I've seen some of the clothing groups advertise them online at places like SEEK or CareerOne.

Thanks! I will look into that now! :)

Lol, I was working at Arnold, Thomas and Becker as a document transporter. Transporting documents to several different law firms, and occasionally played games on my computer when I could. Basically, they said I wasn't skilled enough for a raise or promotion because I wasn't available for extended hours, and then I basically quit. The secretaries there were mean as well :(

Hehe, I like SEEK, they have so many different jobs... Maybe I should just apply for some new store that is opening, I will have more of an opportunity that way. :)). Thanks for the link, Chocoholic.

I knew the manager, and within 3 days, was hired. I was 16 at the time, and I always used to bring in my Psychology h/w (before the mid-year), then he got angry and would yell at me incessantly. At one stage, he regretted hiring me, up until my inevitable resignation. Ahh... Good times. :smitten:
