leave the kid alone for gods sake. Excalibur, we get that you want to uphold the law on a forum but relax there. I agree with ninwa, he's nine, he got another picture from somewhere else and posted it here. so what! who cares! the world isn't going to end. get over it, move on. you're making a big deal out of nothing, why? okay he did something wrong but accusing him of stealing this that does not make you any more right. If he plagiarizes than it's his fault, his 9, he'll learn. It's not like you've never copyrighted either.
i know i have before and i'm sure most of you to.

You're making a big assumption there.

I use open source software where possible, and pay for whatever else I use (e.g., Microsoft Office). After spending a few thousand quid on a computer, a few more hundred for software isn't really that much.

Why? Accusing without evidence might be wrong, but I've presented fairly conclusive evidence to the fact.

He might as well learn now. Maybe my tact was a little inappropriate, but that doesn't affect to core message that plagarism is wrong. If he doesn't pick that lesson up here, then that's his loss.

This thread may be locked if this argument proceeds any further.

Khalid, next time do not plagiarize, always cite your work. Excal, I think he gets the message.

End of story.

The worst part (and the part that irritates me personally) is that he chose to pass it off as his own work.
His 9... I think that says enough.

...

You have to remember he made this thread to help others, regardless of whether or not he plagerised, he did it with good intention, and the person he found the wolf picture for, seemed happy about it.

I haven't read through the rest of the thread so forgive me if I'm beating a dead horse, but I hadn't realised it was a plagiarised picture (I'm the one he 'made' it for), now I don't think I'm going to use it.

Edit: I read through the rest, and it seems I am beating a dead horse, so ignore my comment if you must.

Looking at the karma here, heaps of you support plagarism lolz

Do you know how long it takes to type up one exam and photocopy in the pictures? If not, go ahead and try it. Now imagine doing this for 5 exams. For 4 subjects. Twice every year.
This is what one of the teachers at our school did, and yet it is justified to steal this and not even acknowledge it 'to help people less advantaged'. I do not see how this is justified at all.

So someone please explain to me why this is acceptable, because I am an idiot and do not get it.

We. Don't. Support. Plagiarism.

FFS. Did you even read the arguments that got karma-d?

Fine Mel, if it bothers you so much, I'll acknowledge it.

Can I just say though, I believe most of our teachers teach because they want to educate young people, not because they want their school to come up on top in VCE score. I choose to believe that they are good people and would have been happy to help out the less fortunate.

I'm bothered that you would take all that hard work and keep it just for yourself, rather than share it. How many physics practice exams do you have?

yeah it was this one that got karmad a lot :P
Which is why I would like someone to explain how it is not supporting plagarism. This doesn't have to be from the poster, but from the people that supported it as well.

I have 14 from new study design and ~20 from old one.

ninwa isn't benefitting from posting the exams [apart from feeling good that she posted them to help people]

Khalid was having fun, why spoil his fun? [Yes it's more rewarding to create your own, but he'll learn that in time]. To inform him about the concept of plagiarism, only a few gentle words were required.

     taht is all
