I've been using a backpack for a couple of years now, the only problem is its too good for me since when I bought it at the start of first year, i thought I'd be carrying around textbooks and stuff.
Some snippets of what goes on in IRC:

<chath> ill say " i wont let you go until u kiss me bitch"

Are you scared yet?

After looking at the Crumpler bags I think I like the black "considerable embaressment"
but geez so many of these bags are ugly, especially the colors
i wouldn't mind paying that price i guess, or making my mum pay it :P

A bag which can carry my books is enough for me. No point in spending shit loads of money for a crap looking bag, lol

Does anyone know if crumpler bags have a tendency to sell out before school semester starts? because I want to wait until I've saved up for my macbook before I get mine which could be a while... :D

A bag that doesn't break my back when I carry ten million books is a good choice. :) (Never been a fan of the shoulder bags. :()

Why do you intend on carrying so many books? Besides paper, pens and notes, you generally don't need to take anything to uni.

I often just carry a pencil and a notebook with me to class, no bag or anything. But then again, I live on campus so it's pretty easy that way...

I've also been known to go to class still in my dressing gown and slippers :)

I wish I could live on campus.
I'm not far away from uni or anything, my family is just annoying :D

At the end of semester this year, I came a few days with nothing. I had come to the realisation that I never wrote notes in Chemistry of Physics, so had no reason to carry a bag. It felt liberating being learning 'naked.'

Heh, I didn't take lecture notes at all last semester :)

This may have something to do with the fact that I only went to lectures for one of my subjects, and the lecturer typed on lecture notes and put them online for us. Legend.
