Just for those interested in The Sims 3, it features:

Seamless, living neighborhood
New building and furnishing functions (including an option to turn the auto-grid off!)
All new create a sim
You can follow your sims to work :D (but not go inside, but can control their behavior at work)
New Realistic Personalities—Every Sim is now a truly unique person, with a distinct personality.
New Seamless, Living Neighborhood—Your Sims explore the neighborhood freely.
New Unlimited Customization—Everyone can customize everything.

From Wiki and official site.

LOL dekoyl I have that same sadistic streak 0=]
there's a cheat in sims 2 which lets you kill people by FLIES whenever you want. ahhhh I have been endlessly amused by sims being eaten by flies into a pile of ash :D

People get killed by flies??!! ROFL!! Tell me the cheat!!!! (then I can go to my friend's house and try out the cheat on their computer..hehe)

yep :D
when you're in the neighbourhood screen, press ctrl-shift-C, and type
boolprop testingcheatsenabled true

then go into whichever family, hold down shift and left-click the person you wanna kill, there should be a button saying "kill", click it and there's an option for "death by flies" xD

EDIT: it's really sad that I know this, isn't it :(

Try the real world, that has at least 6 billion sprites operating simultaneously. I haven't even bothered to account for trees and stuff.

Actually...there might be only 6 billion+ models or entities :P. A whole load more sprites though :P

(the distinction is that sprites are fixed images that do not have any behaviours (aka. 'methods')...things like leaves, bullets, light bulbs....).

Not yet :( if I got it now I'd fail all my exams cos I'd literally play it all day long. Yeah, that's not sad at all

NO HOT TUB? OR DIVING BOARD?? There'd better be some really fancy looking water slide to make up for it then ...
