oooooo in one state it was like 94% and 6% voted for the other dude. but he got ALOT of that racial background to vote in this election for the first time. apparently its a record vote turnout

tell me if its wrong but i heard that it was already in favour of obama anyway because year after year its been republican... and people have relised that the demo should be it this year , evidence being the Iraq war and the econ atm.... ( George B was republican )

people also voted because obama knew the states that he possibly wouldn’t be favoured in BUT HE CAMPAIGNED ANYWAY! And thats what people respected the most!

because i want people to view obama as a man who can change things for the better rather than as the black guy makes me "mind-bogglingly ignorant" and an "ignorant fool who is desensitised to matters of bigotry and racism."

I'm in fact looking for the oppsosite. A world where it is not BLACKS VS WHITES but a world where the man with the best vision and potential is celebrated as a man for those attributes, not because of his background.

Key word there want. You *want* people to view Obama as someone other than 'that black guy'. Wake up to the world. It will never happen. I'm not saying that a lot of people won't recognize the type of person that he is, and define him apart from his race, but lets face it: After many years of racism towards the black population of America, a black man has been voted president and there are people in this world both black and white, that are cheering for that very fact.

I too want the world to be a socialist haven where everyone is treated the same way (not communism, that's just crazy), and everyone bases their opinion from the personality of a person rather than the way they look or act or by what they wear or any other physical characteristic, but this is humanity we're talking about. Somewhere there will always be someone that is raised ignorant of the world and judges people for these physical characteristics. Humans are naturally afraid of the unexpected, and therefore there will always be someone that has a biased view of another person for whatever reason.

We can live in ignorance and hope that everyone will one day hold unbiased views of everyone else, or we can live in the reality that is today's world and live our lives bettering ourselves for that goal while accepting the flaws in the design of the human being to forever judge without knowledge.

It doesnt represent anything to me. It represents another guy in a suit trying to change the world, one pointless government at a time. You can only assume that he 'reached across racial lines.' Perhaps there were just never any good 'black' candidates. I hope someone with syphilis gets elected the next president and it can be a great day for the syphilis society who are so oppressed.

Because what they've been talking about on the TV. Saying how its so good to have a black president etc. It should be about having a good president in, whiuch he might be, but lay off on the whole talk on race; it shouldnt even be a factor.

the sociology exam was on when he made his speech.

tis a great day for America, though [after a discussion with the sociology teacher, who is an American] I'd really doubt he will remain in office for the full four years. A man who has been receiving death threats everyday is certainly going to face a lot worse.
