Get a Xbox 360. You'd be getting it at a great time because of the new update that puts in on par with the PS3 features (or so I think.) The Xbox 360 online experience is tuned to awesomeness, despite a minor fee.

It's range of games is outstanding, with mostly American titles but it does have a few Japanese titles that might satisfy your JRPG thirst.

The 360's got quite a lineup and has a line of well established games.

The PS3 is losing its exclusive titles (Devil May Cry moving over to the Xbox, a hint of consideration in regards to Metal Gear Solid on the 360).
