Things I hate about customers- funny read!

For all those people who want to/have or currently work in a Supermarket, such as Coles or Safeway, you'll understand what i mean when i say i HATE the following things customers do.

1. When customers want to pay for their items half on card and half on cash- make up your mind.
2. When you're on express and have to call next please a thousand times before the customer hears you- hello, you wanted to be served.....
3. You're standing at your register and customers ask you if your open because your light isnt on- no im not open, just standing here for the hell of it.
4. Little kids who touch the EPTOFS machince, and bite the sponge.
5. People who cant find the dividers at the register.
6. People who cant put the divider away in its proper position.
7. Customers who ask to put flybuys on and you have already given them the reciept.
8. When your on express and customers place there basket on the bench and dont unpack for you- lazy shits.
9. Customers who ask if you supply a specific sort of cheese, or cake- ask dairy i dont work there.
10. People who use there green bags as baskets and expect you to scan the items and then repack the bags- just use a friggin basket.
11. When people appoligise coming through 12 items or less with 13 items.
12. I absolutely hate it when customers attempt to help you pack their green bags by holding it open for you, but just get in the way.
13. When customers ask if they can use flybys in Safeway.
14. Customers who ask for $400+ cash out. This isnt a bank.
15. The people who do swipe their card during the transaction and dont know what to do- just wait, its quicker.
16. Stupid jokes about Flybys- like: i dont fly, i own a car, i wish you'd fly by. There not funny, get a day job.
17. Customers who talk on their mobiles or have their Ipods on during the entire transaction- rude shits.
18. Rude customers who dont say hello or goodbye or dont even look at you.
19. The people who ask for a bag for something like 24 Box of Coke, or toilet paper. Save the enviroment people!
20. When customers make up petty excuses for not bringing in their green bags, like i left them in the car. i dont really care.
21. Those people who pay by credit for Tic Tacs, or something you could easily pay cash for...
22. .... and then ask for a bag for their item!
23. When your looking for the PLU on fruit items to key in and customers think you dont know what the fruit and think that they can help and tell you the name of the fruit.  'Im not a dickhead. I know what apples are!
24. People who tell you that a certain item is on special. I know- i work there, not you!

25. People who swipe their own discount cards and Flybys through my scanner. What arent i capable of doing my job?
26. At the end of your shift, just before u turn ur light off or put your sign up, someone ALWAYS comes around the corner with the biggest trolley load of items and u just HAVE to serve them!

Can't really relate - work in the deli . Only applicable ones are people on their phone/music who expect to be served, and people who think telling me the price of the item will help me remember the PLU if I type it in wrong (but then I guess they don't know what a PLU is and are trying to be helpful ^^)

Oh and yes, I know the number you pulled out says 54 and on the screen it says 12. When it's 9pm and the flow of customers is small enough that we can readily determine you are the only one waiting we don't bother calling out numbers.
If you disciplined your kids and stopped them from pulling out 10 tickets at once then we'd be more vigilant about keeping it up to date.

And I'm sorry the chickens take 75 minutes to cook. I can't take one out with 15 minutes to go and give it to you. That's called a health and safety risk.

And I don't care if you hate the new self serve checkouts and are disappointed in safeway for putting them there. And I agree that the red tiles in a renovated store in the deli aren't very visually appealing and should be a different colour, but it's not like I can do anything about it.
And it is not my fault if we are sold out of something, or if we've stopped selling it. I don't exactly make the decisions of what to order around here. Trust me, if I was you I'd be pissed off too that every week we inevitably run out of something on special. It's not my fault the store seems not to order according to the local demographic and instead orders to what the computer says (I'm not sure on this claim, but it wouldnt surprise me given that we're constantly out of some things on special, and have 200kg still sitting there unsold after the week is over for other products that were special)


Oh and I hate the ones that think because I'm slow at getting their jokes and I work in a supermarket that therefore I must be stupid, and slow down their speech accordingly.


Also I'm sorry they won't give casual people a log in to the machines to print the reduced stickers and I have to call the duty manager and you have to wait 10 minutes for them to come. If they gave me a log on username/password I could do it in 30s, I know how to use it.
