All learners need the practice.

It makes a difference.

It's not about U being able 2 drive, so much as u being able 2 read wot OTHERS r going 2 do.
The 1st step is simply where u learn how 2 drive the car... the basics and wot-not.
Wot only comes with practice is ur ability 2 'read the road' - u need 2 b able 2 realise wot idiots r going 2 do b4 they do it.
This is something that cannot b learned overnite by even the best of learner drivers.

For instance, I only v. narrowly avoided an accident jst yesterday when a van didn't do a head-check and went 2 move in2 my lane.
His indicator flashed once as I noticed he'd started coming closer (v. quickly, I mite add).
By the 2nd time it flashed I had 2 slam on my brakes 2 prevent an accident.

I don't want 2 sound up myself about it, but I'm certain that any1 with any less experience would have had an accident, even tho it wouldn't have been their fault.
And believe me when I say that things like this r not isolated incidents either, but a part of driving.
I've had some close-calls with trucks that had the potential 2 end quite nasty.

I didn't do the full 120 hours on my learners, but my driving exp was varied and diverse.
I drove @ least 10 cars over those 2 and a bit years (both auto and manual), and I drove in all commonplace road conditions (and some not-so-common, lol).

I'm not saying 120 hours is some magic number that will make a person a great driver... but I jst feel that I have 2 point out that there a lot more 2 driving than merely controlling a car.

Please remember that it's not jst ur own safety u have 2 consider, but any passengers u're carrying as well as every1 else on the road.

Sorry... I know that was a lil off-topic, but that was something I wanted 2 say.
