Yer and have you seen who has posted in that thread? all together i'd say 10 different people and all of whom are close to each other anyway.  Plus look at the thread, it's not even stickied. Who do you expect to have known about it anyway.

I don't see a bowling event would be better for socialising and meeting new people than a BBQ. I guess a bowling event gives people something to do... we can just BBQ near a park and bring a soccer ball!
