My msn doesnt work!!

OK i jst rebooted my computer and now i am trying to make msn work.

But whenver i try to install messenger i get 'messenger service is not compatible with this type of program'

What shud i do?

You'll need to upgrade your Windows Live Messenger client (looks like you're running a pre-MSN Messenger version of the client).

LOL getting really desperate to go on msn. SOME ! HELP!!

Are there any other alternative programs that work if u dont have msn, but u still wanna chat using ur hotmail account?

Yeah. Type in "msn web messenger". Of it's not a replacement, but it should suffice for the time being.

xp pentium4. Is that what you are asking for? I am not that good with computers.

umm i think it doesnt work cause u've installed a beta version
u should immediatly uninstall that version and get a complete version such as 8.5.......
i had the same problem and i had to uninstall it.

I suspect you don't have SP1 installed.
 
Go to the Control Panel and open up 'System'. Please provide a screenshot of this.
