This is a testament to how spammy this forum has become.

On a more serious note, check your background processes to see if there's other stuff using your bandwidth. There's probably a more orthodox manner of doing this, but the program NetLimiter shows all your processes and their DL/UL rates. Quite handy for detecting spyware or stray programs which start automatically downloading updates and the like.

Thanks shinny; I'm using a Mac so any malicious software is more slim. I'm using wireless and I regularly check connected devices but it's only me that's using it =[ I dunno what's up.

Would you mind telling me the plan you're on, /0?

I currently on $99 internet that's bound with home phone. They only cap me after I reach $300 extra.

I would, if I knew how to check it! I've been searching on my account at optuszoo.ninemsn.com.au for ages but I can't find a page that actually details what my plan is... do you know how to check?

wireless? how many people use the internet at your household? Even if you said VN used 50mb a day I'd still be surprised.

is it unencrypted? It may very well be that other people are using it without your knowledge

but
21G in 27 days =\
I don't even use 2.1G in 27 days....

i use 7-8 GB a month. That's all taken up by downloading Numb3rs and Prison Break that just aired in the states. But 21GB in 27 days is massive.

You should consider changing plans/ISPs that either charge less for excess usage (I can think of eXeTeL or aaNet - they charge $3-4/GB) or shape their plans (most ISPs have these plans).
