This is a serious thread as part of a research project I am undertaking. No stupid posts will be tolerated.  :police:

In your opinion, what are the most beautiful suburbs to live in. This can be based on street appearances, shops and schools, views etc.

Two of my favourite suburbs are Glen Waverley and Mount Waverley.

Toorak. It was where I went to school and I saw a fair bit of the suburb because we used to go running through various bits of it for cross-country training.
Kew.
Camberwell.

All because they have lovely large houses and streets lined with massive trees.

You mean to live in, not just beautiful to look at when visiting?

Wouldn't the aesthetics of a suburb remain constant regardless of whether you were residing in it or passing by?

Never trust the beautiful...

Can a suburb ever have a deceptive outward appearance?

Every suburb has a beauty of its own, with a few exceptions here and there.

your old school must be, like, on the border between Toorak and Kooyong, I noticed it when I played bridge at the adjacent tennis club. heh, t'd be cool to see a place which holds so many memories from the train line
