^But you must admit, some dubs sound terrible, enough to put you off it. (Ah! My Goddess)

Of course!  Haven't seen the Ah! My Goddess dub, but given that Kikuko Inoue is my favourite voice actor I doubt I want to anyway.  XD

Off the top of my head, the Stellvia dub really pisses me off.  It's one of those "-chan" dubs.  Urgh.

I vaguely remember disliking the FMP dub as well.

True, why do they even put the -chan -kun in the english dubs anyway?

Ironic, given that she's only called Serena in the dub...  If you were really a purist, I imagine you would be calling her "Usagi"...
lol I didn't wanna say usagi coz my pet rabbit died and it brings back sad memories :(

Must be a half-assed attempt at retaining Japanese "authenticity" =[

I'm assuming they think if they don't they'll piss off the purists...sigh.

On a completely unrelated note, is anyone watching Dragon Ball Kai?  I'm wondering about the apparent lack of fansub groups.  It angers me.  :(

Also, just as a random plug, pre-reg for Manifest 09 (10th Anniversary of the convention) is going to become more expensive soon due to the "early bird" period expiring...  If you're interested in going, go to http://www.manifest.org.au/#home and register quickly!

If you have some money on hand, also look into http://amaranth.manifest.org.au/ .  It's an Anime Ball (lol), kind of like a high school formal if you will except with optional cosplay and more geeky people.

Finally, if anyone wants merchandise, Hobby Link Japan is having a sale at the moment... http://www.hlj.com/

I'm pretty much obliged to go, given my circumstances.  XD  Might volunteer again this year, although even if I don't I'll probably get dragged into it on the day anyway...

Yep!  Well, ok, it really depends on who you go with, but if you've got a large group of friends, it's great fun!  Just make sure you pre-register and get in the line REALLY REALLY early, because after a while (2 hours after the start?) the line wait becomes about 3 hours...

Also, if you want to buy stuff, bring at least 100 bucks.

Huh, how can ppl say deathnote english was alrite, TT can second how much I insisted it was a joke when he gave me english dub epsiode of deathnote coz he cudnt find a jap dub. Seriously they sound like they pikd a random ass off the street who was high and just got them to read some lines, any english dub sux unless its from a major company usually (not in sunrise case), dbz was better tho, 1 off.

School days is the weirdest anime ive ever seen, the end was quite twisted, and for a few nights, any time I watched a show where the main chacter had to choose between 2 girls I was like, shit u better tell one, otherwise knife in the bak and head cut off and sailing on a boat time, sik end (nothing says i love u like cutting off someones head so u can sail on a boat with them)

Another scene like that is Mao when he was with CC, classic (cant fit u in the plane but ill make some mods, pulls out a chainsaw, rofllll)
