SEED's storyline for the first 30 or so episodes is almost an exact copy of that of the original series. It kind of picks up a bit in the second half, but I didn't like most of the characters so that kind of put me off...
Destiny, in contrast, was actually quite enjoyable for me until about episode 35. I was one of the three people who actually liked Shinn, and making Kira the main character again made me rage.

And my list is from an accumulated 12 years of Anime watching, starting with Ninja Senshi Tobikage at around the age of 4-5.

I've become slack lately though, watching one or two Anime per season at most. Last few seasons it was Geass/Macross Frontier/Gundam 00, now it's just Dragon Ball Kai. I also have a really bad habit of never watching "current" Anime (apart from the really popular mecha ones), in favour of revisiting classics. My current project alongside DBK is Gankutsuou, once I get all of it...
