What's your favorite anime ?

IMHO:

CLANNAD After Story > CLANNAD (season 1) = ef ~a tale of memories~ > ef ~a tale of melodies~

ef had ridiculously good artwork/visuals, especially in season 1 (memories). A pretty great series overall (although I felt season 1 was stronger than season 2 - then again, I hated Mizuki...). Although when it comes to CLANNAD (especially AS), nothing comes close in terms of sheer emotional impact, in its purest form (nevertheless, I did have reservations 'bout the ending). 

If there's one series that truly deserves BD (and HD 1080p) though, it's Bakemonogatari

If we include anime films though... Grave of the Fireflies is perhaps the most powerful statement of emotion and drama I've ever seen in an animated medium so far.

True, they are both emotionally moving, however, IMO Clannad takes the cake

Has anyone watched decent amounts of Gintama? I'm looking for a long-running anime to watch (eg. Bleach, Naruto, Pokemon) and it seems Gintama is fairly well received.
