It seems like many people have source on steam. Perhaps we can have a night of  cs source?

Well, not necessarily :P

I, for one, just tuck away all my expensive programs neatly (I do all my hardcore graphics work in virtual machines just so they're sandboxed from the main system).

Because my desktop has no icons, and hence would just be wallpaper, I'll be different and have running programs and stuffs

Heh, I think I've got a pretty much identical set up to you (dual mon, no icons). Only difference is I've got widgets lining the side of my secondary mon. Quite useful to have GFX and CPU usage stats whilst I'm gaming to see if my computer's choking. Are you running 'UltraMon' to get the two taskbars?

I just chuck all my crap on my secondary mon like widgets, MSN, WMP etc. My mons aren't side by side so yeh, only my primary is actually directly facing me. My primary has whatever I'm doing on it usually. And yeh, <3 ultramon.
