No, it is an invitation to *actually* do something that many people do multiple times a day (drink coffee).

 I'd say it's syecdoche, as, even if coffee is the only drink consumed [not neccesarily the case, as Fyrefly pointed out], "having coffee" or "meeting for coffee" means [idiomatically] *also* talking, socialising. Whereas, literally it only means drinking coffee, or meeting and drinking coffee, which doesn't neccesarily entail talking.

It's not too expensive actually, when you contrast it with eating on Southbank everyday where $10-15 lunches are considered 'budget'.
