My school had a "study camp" at Monash where we lived in their halls of residence for a day/night/day and did useless activities. I think other schools do this too?

Hmmm would make more sense, my school doesn't do it though, would seem rather useless living there, since most people will be commuting from home. That said getting a feel for uni life would be interesting..

Yep, that's what we did, too. It's where we sorted out classes and timetables, and then listened to some 'motivational speaker' dude. After that was sports (yay table tennis! rock climbing.. not so much), then that night we watched the film we were studying in English that year. 'Slept' (couldn't really sleep since everybody was making noise. I feel sorry for anybody who ends up using some of those rooms, particularly their closets), breakfast and then another speaker. After that, we left.

Ugh, motivational speakers. We had THE worst one ever on study camp. Our English classes also watched the film text, and us EL kids had a lecture by Kate Burridge.

We also made stress balls. Which weren't even good because they used rice not flour, and I later broke mine at home and made a mess...

My school went to Lord Somer's camp on the beach. Had a whole heap of shit activities and the weather sucked. But good to get away from school for a bit.

Our stupid camp got reduced because of the bushfires. Its funny because we're going to safety beach in dromana.

No, that's because the other venue was canceled since it was near the bushfires. So all the year 12s are going to the same camp site.

at my school, we call it the year 12 retreat. A homeroom is paired up with another homeroom and we all go different places around melbourne.

Im going to Belgrave heights, where ever the fuck that is. I wish that would have gotten burnt down with the bushfires.
I dont wanna go, i fuckeing hated camp. I hated the bush. I hate playing sport. Im the most un-australian person there is.
