Plenty of MHS kids who could dominate if they signed up here...

Most of the 99.95s come from elite private schools, not MHS though.

In the paper I think it was a couple of years back there was this thing about how MHS got ten 99.90s but no 99.95s that year. I think English is the main deciding factor, that and doing languages. A  lot of MHS kids are maths-science tanks that aren't too pro at English; like this guy I know once told me about some guy that got 5 50s but < 40 for English from MHS

Heh, class of '07. Strangely enough, I don't think it was English that was the deciding factor, but it was actually the lack of people getting over 50 either through spesh or languages that prevented the 99.95s (since the aggregate required for 99.95 was over 210 unlike last year). Quite a few of those 99.90'ers had 50s in English... As for the guy who got 5 50s (class of '06), yep, got 50s in chem, physics, methods, spesh, accounting, then a 35 in English. Quite stereotypical Asian if you ask me.

All I know is my friend told me Glen Waverly Sec. got around 5 to 7 99.95's 2 years back...massive for a state school.
When I get sad, I stop being sad, and be AWESOME instead. True story.

I reckon whenever mods delete a post they should give a reason

Nah,

I got about 6 reported posts from this thread alone today I'm pretty sure. Would be too difficult to give a reason for deletion for every post.  And anywya, what as up with the reported posts from this thread? Whats all the commotion?

Guys, I had a post in there too, but to be fair, that conversation WAS pretty off-topic...

When your post is deleted, consider yourself lucky, because whoever deleted it didn't think it warrants a ban.

But at the rate spam is going around, and certain members continuously spamming even after having their posts deleted, I have a feeling patience is running out.

MSO gives reasons. Adds abit of transparency.

Yeah heaps of posts get deleted in this thread. But most that I've seen just seem to be a friendly school rivalry (or rhjc trying to say MHS is good without upsetting the Scotch kids) and Scotch kids bragging about how elite their top guys are...it is off-topic but Mao's ban threat (that's how I perceived it anyway) probably is a bit too far....

I agree. Although we did track far off-topic, that was really no reason for them to start threatening bans... After all, we weren't spamming or anything.

... and we don't :) (have to).

You guys have no idea how much off topic spammy shit is posted on these boards and how hard it is to maintain!

Necromancing this thread, since the first post specifically mentioned comparing predictions in January with actual results.  :p
