1) All MHS kids are smart
False.
1: the entrance test could unfairly disadvantage/advantage students

Heh, I got into MHS second round offer =P

But don't worry man. After I got the 49 in Bio and compared my work ethic from Bio to the work ethic I had in my year 12 subs, I thought I'd be getting like high 30s for some of them. What you should realise is that study to SS is extremely exponential and excessive study doesn't contribute THAT much more. You'll ace it man.

Most of the 99.95s come from elite private schools, not MHS though.

This year, I'd predict at least three 99.95s from each of MacRob, Melbourne Grammar and Scotch, given how retardedly strong their cohorts are.

So how many people actually get 99.95 each year? Around 30-40?
When I get sad, I stop being sad, and be AWESOME instead. True story.

... make out already?

Grammar should get a few 99.95s - but one individual who already has two 50s apparently doesn't get an ENTER score so theres one 99.95 gone

Most of the 99.95s come from elite private schools, not MHS though.

In the paper I think it was a couple of years back there was this thing about how MHS got ten 99.90s but no 99.95s that year. I think English is the main deciding factor, that and doing languages. A  lot of MHS kids are maths-science tanks that aren't too pro at English; like this guy I know once told me about some guy that got 5 50s but < 40 for English from MHS
