The problem with some study guides is, some are too easy. Hence, you are wasting your time, which you might as well have spent on challenging problems you will face in the exams.

In general, for english is the worst for study guides. Try to listen to your teacher and peers more for ideas and tips on how to write.

Maths, A+('insert specific subject' notes) are the best for preparing for SACS for maths and science. Also, checkpoints is also good.

Edit: i heard some 99.95 er say that he wrote his own study guide, like write your own notes.

I don't really use study guides too much, I think i'll just do exam packs (MHS beast methods pack)

Checkpoints guides were on my booklist for 3 out out 4 of my subjects, but i decided to go with the A+ "(Subject name) notes" summary guides instead.

Past exams can be printed from the VCAA website for free, why on earth would I pay for them to be chopped up and bound?

For each of Chem, Bio and Further, I have the A+ "notes" summary guide, and Excel's "revise in a month" (20% off at Angus and Robertson when purchased)

I have no guides for English yet, but I might get summaries and others' notes of my texts if adequate resources cannot be found somewhere on the net.

2009: English 35 [33.63]     Biology 37 [38.06]     Chemistry 25 [28.82]     Further Maths 34 [31.79] ENTER: aim = 75.20+ [79.70]

Had checkpoints for bio last year, used unit 3 book occasionly, flicked through unit 4 once. Probably not worth it, but still beter than those stupid flash cards (used each unit about twice). I picked up checkpoints for physics and chem earlier this year (gonna make more of an effort to use them), as well as exambusters for spesh. That said, I still think the best resources I have are the dozens of exams some of you have uploaded.
