My new laptop

Hello, well today I got a laptop from Harvey Norman for $1099 its a Presario CQ60

Can anyone tell this question "If I Reformat the laptop will I have to install any drivers, and if so where do i get them"

most of the drivers should be installed when u format, but you might need to update them, like the video card drivers etc.

Windows Vista Home Premium SP1

Just use the restore CD that came with the laptop.

Or depending on what laptop you have, you might have to make the Recovery Disk yourself.

Please read your laptop's documentation regarding instructions on how to do that. However, my research would indicate that the CDs should come with the laptop.

Yeah but its ok i downloaded all the drivers so i dont need that anymore but can you please reply to the vista cd-key thread for me it would be a good help

How do you make a recovery disc?

Well for my Toshiba Satellite Pro A300, the notebook came with a program called, "Toshiba Recovery Disk Creator".  I just used two DVDs to back up everything on the notebook before I used it.

However, like Excalibur mentioned, make sure you check the documentation (or ask your salesperson before you buy the notebook).

HP/Compaq laptops do not need a recovery disc. They have there own partition for the ~8GB of files necessary for recovery.

Why would you want to reformat your "new" laptop anyway, roflmao.

Mine has a partition instead of a cd for the recovery for yeah
