You bump a thread when you want a respone or want people to see something you have posted and feel that the thread may have been lost in nothingness.

For example. If I had asked for someone to answer my maths question and a week later no one had helped, I could simply write Bump to bring the thread to the attention of all members.

I picked up a copy on my way home.
Thats also why Im disppointed to see the class bitch from my school getting a Biomed offer at Melb UNI :(
