@ AppleXY, I've had fewer troubles with crashes/stability in windows 7 than vista. Though your hardware should be fairly good, otherwise finding drivers might become an issue.

I've already reformatted the HD, and reinstalled vista using the HP recovery disk. I also installed MSN and restored my back up
