Nintendo 64 online league

Hi guys, have you ever wanted to play classic N64 games online? Well you are in luck, because recently over9000, /0 and I have found a program called project64k which allows all N64 roms to be played online! However, wouldn't it much more fun if people from VN joined us?  :) So we thought why not invite VN too! If you are interested please read on  ;)

The main games are as follows:
Super Smash Bros
Mario kart
Mario tennis
Pokemon Stadium 2 mini-games

To set up the project64k is very simple, all you have to do is follow the following instructions:

1. First download the project64k zip file here: http://pj64k.emulation64.com/files/Project64k_0_13.zip
2. After you have extracted everything from the zip file you will need the different roms for each of the games listed above. (PM me for the links to download the roms)
3. After you have downloaded the roms, place them in your project64k folder.
4. Now open project64k (notice there is also project64 in your folder, make sure you open the project64k icon)
5. Click on file, then go to "Choose Rom Directory" and set the location as your project64k folder, ie the place you put the roms you have downloaded just then.
6. Now click on file and then click on "start net play..."
7. Kaillera Client should come up, set your connection type to "Excellent", this is found at the bottom right corner of the Kaillera Client.
8. Then click on "Enter IP..." and enter this : 114.76.209.164:27888
9. You should then be connected to a server called "Desiree's Server". This is the server hosted by one of my friends and is the only server in Australia (There's another one but the uptime is much less than this one)
10. Now you are ready to play! You can create you own game by clicking on "Create New Game". If no game pops up, it means your roms are not in the correct rom directory that you have entered before. So recheck the rom directory. Also to configure your controls go to your project64k menu and click on "options" then go to "Configure controller plugin..." and set your controls for player 1.

Now, if you are using Vista, it is known to have troubles with running project64k, read Over9000's guide http://vcenotes.com/forum/index.php/topic,13725.msg150492/topicseen.html#msg150492

Hopefully we can have some people come join us and play for fun, then maybe we could get a league started where we can compete and earn points and the winner at the end of each season gets a prize (dono what yet haha).  :D :D

So if you are interested in coming to play with us, let us know in this thread and join in on the fun!

There might be several reasons:
1. You need to refresh the ROM List when put a new rom in your p64 folder.
2. Your p64k might not recognise where the ROMs come from. Go to Options -> Settings -> Directories and make sure its at your p64 folder.
3. Maybe it's a corrupt ROM, try a ROM from a different site.
4. Slim chance, but maybe your antivirus or firewall is blocking it?
5. Sometimes p64 goes retarded you just have to re-open it later and it will be ok... lol i dunno
