Worst Event In History?

I just spent the past few hours looking at documentaries and reading up information about the Imperial Japanese Army's Unit 731.
I've heard about the Imperial Japanese Army doing some nasty stuff but stumbled upon the official name today and from what I saw, it's pretty bad.

This guy's channel: http://www.youtube.com/user/Sarastarlight has some good bits about Unit 731 and the Rape of Nanking. Be warned though, his videos contain extremely graphic pictures (mostly unnecessary IMO :S).

What event do you think goes down as the worst in history?

Wow, I didn't think many people knew about the Rape of Nanking. I remember going to a museum dedicated to this in Nanjing - came out nauseous and on the verge of tears. Such horrible photos and memoirs from survivors.

I still can't think of anything worse than the Holocaust ... though Nanjing does form part of a series of events collectively termed the Asian Holocaust lol (or something like that)

EDIT: yeah http://www.asianholocaust.com/
EDIT 2: what a depressing topic :P

- The creation of the universe
- The creation of life
- The creation of the Homo sapiens (humans)
- The discovery of fire
- The discovery of agriculture (i.e. civilization)
All of these have led to the horrors above

And also George Bush.

There is no worst event in history. The concept of a 'worst' event is subjective - intrinsically flawed by human emotion - and invalid in a mechanical universe such the one we inhabit.

Also, you just lost the game.
