u can major in both if u do 2 majors u dont need a minor (which i thought u did , but found out i was wrong) cause u gotta do 8 subjects in 3rd yr so 4 and 4 make up 2 majors...lolz that made no sense right?

ASP1011/ASP1022 aren't that good - many people (ie arts students) do it as an elective for that reason, so they have to dumb everything down so much in order for the cohort not to fail (omg maths run away), so see if you can get into ASP2011/2062 instead. (unless youre into bludge subjects, if so then stay where you are)

How hard is the First Year chem.

Like what kind of things to you get to learn because I don't think I can handle chem at Uni but I have to do it for the breadth crap.

Haha I think I might do that. I only got a 30 raw VCE so chemistry is a major weak point.

Hey does anyone have any thoughts about first year atmospheric science or computer science?

I have thoughts about computer science
FIT1002 was so crap I gave up and chose a different unit in second semester than FIT1015 because I wasn't subjecting myself to more torture.
They dumbed down that unit because too many people were failing it, and they are still failing it. They shouldn't be in uni if they're that bad. In the mid semester test for FIT1002, lecturer said (out of 200 people cohort), 1/3rd got 80+, 1/3rd got <50. They are accomodating for the <50 group only. Stay the hell away, especially if you did VCE IT, that was harder than FIT1002

Yeah, 1st year IT units are like that...(but you have to say the same about Physics :P)

It does get better if you stick to it until 2nd year, but you really do need to be into that kind of stuff.
