i don't get it, what does CA do? does it make you a better accountant or is it like a masters in accounting?

It's like getting a specialisation from at a Royal College after doing your medical degree. You're pretty much nothing if you don't do a CPA or CA.

If you do your CA you're guarenteed a salary of over 200k a year in one of the big 4 firms

Bachelor of Business

-> Caufield
-> Finance
   ->> Accounting
-> As they allow me to do Acc to accreditation and fit most banking/finance subjects wooooooo :D. Also Alloc+ > Alloc8 and they offered me a place xD. It's also very close to home :D. ITS WIN:WIN WOO.

Never Certain but you have a higher chance. Besides when you get out of uni most big firms (big4) won't take you unless you undertake a CPA or CA program. Big firms usually prefer CA I think. (CA is recognised worldwide. CPA only in a few countries)

CA is like a master except i think its cosidered more than a masters. Like CA > Masters of Accounting.

LOL. what. What's the point though, i'll be working in a investment bank (PLSPLSPLSPLSS) lol. I thought you can the FCA like you get the FIAA (just studying). We'll see anyways.

Not true. Doing CA gives you a GradDiploma. You can gain credit from this study if you want to get a masters in accounting. In terms of prestige a masters should be more prestigious.

Masters>GradDip

However, in terms of what employers want, I'm not sure whether  they'd still want you to do CA if you'd already done Masters. Really not too sure.

Depends on your masters, but im guessing most of the big 4 firms want you to be doing your CA

i had exactly the same interests as you when i started uni, except u cant do neuroscience as part of science. i think well for me u can only do 2 max.
