haha thx for the cheering! congratz to u guys to for getting into monash =)
yeah im thinking of the IBL thing.... i was looking into the monash website and found out that i'm suppose to complete like 7 compulsory IT units before being able to apply for it though but i would prefer to do half IT half commerce throughout my course so yeah i've emailed them to ask if i need to do that too
i should really look into the timetable thing soon but ive checked... the earliest is 9am and latest finishes at 5pm ^^
BBIS is a specialist degree (in business systems) - there are no majors.
haha thx for clarifying! i thought that might be the case when i checked the single degree and even THAT doesnt list any majors lol...
If you do half-half IT/Commerce units, you will be eligible to apply for IBL after 2nd year (assuming an exact even split and pass on all units). This is what most people do, as double degree students do not apply as school-leavers; rather, they apply as continuing students from what I have seen.
One thing you'll learn about Uni is that it's very unit and unit level centric and not year level centric. For example, if a pre-requisite to completing your course is to complete 8 "first year" units, you can do some of them in 3rd year - the caveat is that often the 2nd year units build on, and have as prereqs, the first year units.
