Well, have you met them?

This happened to me, but with a second semester subject. I'm doing the prereq for it in semester 1, so it seemed kinda odd. In the auto-generated email, it says something like 'if you feel that your subject selection is correct, do not alter your studies and a [something] will review them as soon as possible'. So yeah, if you don't see anything wrong, just leave it, and then they'll confirm it the following day.

My problem was fixed the day after I received the email (well, I got the first email at 12am and the second around 3pm, so around 15 hours). How long ago did you get the email? It should be fixed before week-0.

Did your email look like this?
Quote
Important Note:  This is an automatic email response to your submitted
subject selections. Please do not reply to this email.

Your subject selections have been received and reviewed by the system.
One or more of the subjects you have selected cannot be accepted
automatically due to the reasons listed below.

You should now:

1. Read carefully the reason(s) for non-approval listed below.
2. Refer to the Handbook for advice on allowed subject choices for your
   course.
3. Return to the Subject Selection Service, where you will see the last
plan submitted, and enter subjects which meet the course requirements.

If you believe that you should be permitted to enrol in the subjects
listed below do not alter your request and it will be reviewed
by a Course Adviser as soon as possible.

[subjects here]

Error: You do not meet the pre-requisites for this subject. Please refer
to the Handbook, alter your request and re-submit.

                  Number of errors: 1

Maybe it takes longer to find students' study scores than it does to realise they're taking the prerequisite in semester 1?

Don't worry about it. Give them a few days to sort stuff out.

Yes it looked like that...

I went there today and took down student ID No. and said she would inform the course adviser. And should be done by Monday...

So what if I move around mt subs again and get the same problem.

Why would you change your subjects again?

You should make sure first then! :p It's only the ones with prerequisites that are a hassle. The other subject I added went through no problems. The units with internal prerequisites aren't that bad. You won't have to resort to actually going there to fix it, anyway.

What are you planning on doing, and what are you tossing up between, anyway?

I was thinking of Physics 1, then realised I was eligible for Physics 2 Life Sciences (which Im interested in). Im not sure how much harder it is, both recommend VCE Physics to be done. Ive emailed the Physics department and they can only get back to me next week...

Why don't you do both? Unlike most of the subjects I'm taking, I can actually understand some of the things in the Physics 1 overview. ;D
