Why do most people prefer to go to Melbourne uni rather than monash to do commerce? .....just out of curiosity.

how so?

so would a commerce degree at Melbs still be worth more than a commerce/arts double degree at Monash?

I dunno about most people, but it was about location for me. I quite like Monash. I like their course structure (the ability to use a third of your course to major either in or outside of your course's faculty) and their encouragement of exchange (through their extensive list of exchange partners and travel grants. Caulfield had that thing where you could go visit companies around the world, which seemed pretty interesting as well). Unfortunately, it's just too far from where I live. I could've tolerated it if I had to, but the long commute was something I wanted to avoid.
