I only like the first four, so I won't be going. It's hard to say no to the killers though.
*first five :P Foals are a great band; their inclusion almost tempts me into going.

No idea who they are.
Oh, I just assumed you had. Well should you be interested, these songs are all decent.

Tbh I haven't actually seen many of their live videos, but I've heard they put on a good show.

Everyone seems so happy with the lineups, but after seeing Splendour in te Grass's 2011 lineup I can't help but feel like this year is just a little above average.  http://www.inthemix.com.au/news/aust/49810/Splendour_In_The_Grass_2011_lineup_announced

Haha yes ... 2011 was when SITG went all out (they didn't sell out but the Woodford venue was massive..). However I liked that lineup particularly because The Hives were on it and I personally believe no one's seen a kickass live rock band until they've seen them. They even played before Kanye West (odd choice of order) on the main stage and in my opinion, pulled it off and upstaged him with their Swedish adorableness. Their Sydney sideshow was full of epic: http://youtu.be/DcX52rbm-xw?t=43s. Their schtick is that everyone must obey them and love them to the end of time. The frontman's banter and humour is part of what makes them amazing. When I met them, the drummer gave me a hug because he saw I froze, starstruck lol. I will stop talking about them now before I fangirl too hard.

Anyway, Splendour is a 3 day camping festival (winter) instead of a major city touring festival so the lineup gets spread throughout and it's easier for them to book artists willing to play a day instead of committing to 5 (like for BDO, so can't really compare them). Splendour's back at Byron Bay now... 2012 is in a few weeks and it sold out in record time or something. It's also a fantastic lineup but I'm only attending the sideshows this time (Jack White, & Band of Skulls - both next week).

Back to BDO13... Yeah Yeah Yeahs ftw!

2nd/3rd lineups will probably have something decent on them as well, so yeah, definitely not complaining.
Hmmm I was hoping for more announcements but the festival's been saying that this is already the "full lineup" even though there are less bands than usual. (Also that 1am flight can be made possible... Flemington Racecourse ain't that far from the airport! :P)

(Excuse my long posts, it's just that I don't check back here as frequently as I used to and feel I should leave a chunk of thoughts behind)

The Hives

This guy knows what's up. I saw them in Europe, just fantastic.

The Splendour lineup is amazing, unfortunately I do not have the funds not time with year 12 this year. Jack White is a sensational headliner, he would be great to see. Not mention a lot of my favorite small bands and artists like Ben Howard, Kimbra etc. they've really outdone themself with that lineup.
I loved Groovin The Moo this year, I thought that linep was very diverse and some of my favorite acts performed there. Also, QueensCliff Music Festivals lineup is great as well! The Cat Empire are headlining, they are one of my favorite live bands!

It's really not that hard to quantify..., but I believe that being raped once is not as bad as being raped five times, even if the one rape was by a gang of people.

Definitely catching Crystal Castles sideshow again. Best live show I've ever been to.
