i just found it
"Awarded to the highest achieving eligible Year 12 students based on their ENTER score or equivalent, and/or selection ranking in the case of students enrolled in the Bachelor of Medicine/Bachelor of Surgery."

so basically these people would have like perfect interview scores, 99.90+ and high 90'%iles for UMAT.
:o just a guess...

Probably easier to just get 99.95, you don't even need a great UMAT with that expectation do you? I remember reading somewhere that if you are expecting 99.95 you could get an interview anyway.

^ interview for medicine is all about your UMAT score at a certain cutoff.they don't even look at your ENTER till after the interview.

All the people I've known on MBBS scholarships have scored 99.90.

oh yeah i forgot about that.
well most people don't get a 99.95, <30 do. but rumour as it you'll get a late round interview.
it's very, very difficult to get 99.95 of course so much easier to get the umat cutoff by studying quite a bit for it to ensure that.
