you can still make changes whenever you want, but i am certain their is a specific date when you cannot change any of your preferences or rearrange them. I already paid my VTAC and i can change it whenever i want, it doesn't mean my VTAC is submitted. check the VTAC site they should have the deadline date.

sorry if i made a mistake, please correct me.  :)
Yeah pretty much this, just to add the specific dates: you need to have paid by 28th September (for timely application/regular fee). You can still make changes after this date though. You'll be able to continue making changes until 26th October. Until which it'll close. And then it'll open again on 26th November and then the final deadline for any changes at all is 24th December. There's a few different dates you'd want to know for scholarships etc. too.

Do you have to apply for scholarships or will the uni automatically offer them to you if you get good scores?

Also I've chosen my subjects, so what else is there to do?

Some scholarships will be awarded by universities automatically but there are quite a few that you have to apply for.

^Yeah, for the engineering one I got last year they called me up the morning ATAR results came out and all I had to do was have the course on my VTAC prefs, no application as such :)

Is there a special "submit" course application button somewhere?
OR if we've paid by 28th are we automatically a "timely applicant"?
thanks
