I think the change is good.  Rather than favouring the underprivileged at the expense of the privileged, I think we're forgetting all the people in the middle who missed out.

N it means that people like 0.05 below the ridiculously high cut off that live in metropolitan areas and are normal get a proper chance.

If there are less places for the SEAS applicants, that means that they'd be more places for everyone else. So, the demand for these places would decrease, and so the cut-off will decrease, making it more accessible.

And I just wanted to say that so many of the SEAS applicants really don't need special consideration. Some rural kids that I have met went to better schools than many metro students who are classified as not being disadvantaged. I really think that they should look deeper into each person's circumstances, because so many people have cheated the system.

+1 I've seen a friend get into biomed with seas for the most arbitrary reason. Personally, I qualify for seas, but I'm not applying because there are so many people out there who need special consideration more than I do. The system needs improvement because too many people exploit it.
I won the GAT: 49/50/50.
Tutoring! Maths Methods (50), Specialist Maths (43), Chemistry (45)

SEAS doesn't help you when you have 99.95 anyway. ;)

Which offers the best deal on drinks?
I think Paint n Glo is too overpriced personally - the amount you pay for ticket compared to drink specials DOES NOT PAY OFF THAT MUCH, imo.
