I can't believe this is actually showing on ABC TV now. Have a look at ep 6; no wonder literacy rates are falling.

It's an entire television series based off the beached whale meme from last year.

It says that the show will be playing at 9:25pm, is it even meant for kids?

Hmm didn't notice that. Wonder who exactly they're trying to target then.

The ABC always runs short animation clips in between their major shows, as they do not show advertisements, and therefore usually have about 5-10minutes to kill between each show, including a cartoon mini series of Mr Bean.

doesn't ABC show ads? why's that?
Not a commercial channel, i.e. it's run by tax payers' money

Sometimes you hear shows "selling out" to commercial channels, which just means they're suddenly popular and move to channel 7 or something for the profits. The Chaser refused to sell out I think.

However following corporatization by the Government in a bid to improve the efficiency of GBE's or like the ABC ads are becoming commonplace, look at SBS. Since last year or year before they started showing advertisements. This is in order to reduce the burden on the Government paying it, as well as to provide better content other than weird late night movies of peculiar things which SBS is common for.

For example "Kath and Kim" went from the ABC to Channel 7.

@Novax Yes, the SBS does have ads. The ABC howver still does not.

I love those late night, weird, peculiar shows on SBS.
Anyone remember 'Eat Carpet'? I don't, but it was probably quite peculiar indeed.

I also love those short films they used to show late at night... don't know if they're still on anymore (goes to check TV guide)

Actually I don't know where to find them does anyone know if they still show them?
