Its some kind of diagnostic English test for those with study scores:

English 25 - 20
ESL 30 - 34

They will then recommend any extra courses if required...

What do you have to do in the test? Is it like the English exam? God, that would be horrible.

It doesn't seem too bad, all you have to do is get over 3.3. Good luck for Friday!

I hope I don't screw up lol

If I get below 3.3, then English workshops are compulsory.

If I get above 3.3, then they are optional.

Reading
You may generally understand academic texts but may take some time to draw out the necessary information or to interpret parts of the text, particularly those that are complex or deal with abstract ideas.

Writing: Form

You use a satisfactory range of sentence structures but are not always accurate in complex sentences. The errors that you make may hinder the expression of ideas.

Writing: Fluency

Your writing is mainly satisfactory. Inappropriate use of linking devices causes some strain for the reader.

Writing: Content

Your argument does not always progress logically and some points may be irrelevant or lack support.

Listening
You should be able to understand most of the content of an academic lecture delivered at native-speaker speed, but you could find that you are a little slow processing meaning, and you may sometimes have difficulty distinguishing main points from supporting detail.

So all you have to do is be slow and illogical. No problems! :D

OMG What a waste of time....

In the first section, we were given 2 texts, each text separated into 10 paragraphs. We had to answer questions for each text. Multi choice (on vocab and content), Questions requiring a short sentence etc..... Standard = Similar to Year 5-6

Then there was an essay to write - Given a issue, then you have to state your point of view. There were ideas given for 'For' and 'Against', and required to write at least 300 words..... Standard = Similar to essay in GAT

The last one was a lecture played from a CD. 4 sections, and had to fill in the blanks for about 5 questions in each section.... Standard = Joke. About Year 3-4 work.
