Looking at this thread, too many people are using 'a better social life' excuse as a motivator to finish their respective subjects early. THIS IS BAD!
I don't believe 'a better social life' is what people who finished course early had. Finishing a course early would more likely make you an outcast than anything. Everyone realises year 12 is important, if you are bludging in a class, people will simply ignore you.
The correlation between high score and finishing course early is that people who have the motivation to finish the course early usually have enough motivation to keep themselves working throughout the year. It's their attitude to try the hardest they could and then some that allows them to achieve high, not because they have less pressure.
mm well i sure wouldn't want to go through my holidayz slaving through work. that's why they call them holidayzz, cause you relax which i learnt these previous holidays.
i think this shows how people are going to be when they're older. I mean if you constantly do work even during rest periods, you are more likely to be a workaholic. But no evidence to back up if brendan asks.
I don't see how being a workaholic is such a bad thing, some people enjoy being absorbed into their work.
I agree to enjoying holidays, but you will find that in the three sets of holidays coming up, you don't really have much chance to slow down. They are more like 'study breaks', where you have a break
from study from school so you can do some private study, organising and consolidation of past materials.
