Does classical singing include musical theatre or is it just opera and stuff like Purcell?

Well, my teacher likes to make me sing opera and stuff, but I do a bit of musical theatre and stuff too.  Currently learning a song from Les Mis for the school concerto concert (using it as a "concerto", lmao).

It's quite annoying, because even at my old school we had a concerto evening, but I might try and get a chamber music concert or a concerto concert up and running. If I have time to organise it with the MHS music captains...
