It has begun! (12pm today)
It's my first time and I've joined a Camberwell Grammar team, hoping to win some prizes (fat chance though...)

Anyway, is there anyone else doing this? How hard do you think it is?
The previous puzzles look interesting but really hard :)

Aw, I think my teammates were in the Melbourne Uni one, but didn't tell me about it :(
Oh well, this is the perfect distraction from my Methods SAC :P

Who won the MUMC Puzzle Hunt?

A team named "Killer Chicken Bones" won, although I'm not sure who was in it.  Dana's team (comprised mostly of ex-IMO people) got a perfect score though.

Lol nice :) Do you know which uni Andrew E-P went to? There aren't many Victorian ex-IMO team members, most of them tend to be from NSW... James Ruse. The IMO team this year is so goooddd.

Andrew E-P went to Melbourne I believe.  And a lot of the people in Dana's team weren't Victorians, I think (indeed, most were at least a few years older...).

Wow, MUMC puzzle hunt is nationwide then? Yeah, it's sad - only 2 people on the team this year is Victorian :( Compared to last year's 4/6.

Yeah, AzureBlue, the IMO team this year is amazing. Although it means that a certain private school is very overrepresented in all of the olympiads...

And we all expected it to be, everyone knew that this year there was a strong group because most olympians last year were in year 11, and that left only half the spots for other people (who are really good also).  Sydney Grammar School and James Ruse!! :D

No it's not... there are 4 NSWs, 2 VIC and the reserve is TAS.

The other someone is Victorian. We shouldn't discuss names here though because maths is really tight about confidentiality... and yes, Sydney Grammar... they're so overrepresented in science this year too.

It depends on who you ask - some people will relinquish the team names more easily than others...  Officially, it's confidential though, so shhh.
