wow - I was beginning to dobt the existence of a 2009 Nat Pol class! I did the subject last year, it's very, very interesting - and fun, coz you get to debate and scream across the classroom at people. Our classroom was SO chaotic and loud at times!

Well, it ended up being my worst subject :) I got As on all of my SACs, and then a WAY lower mark on the exam. So did everyone else in my class > we had a shite teacher.

Anyway, I'm probably not the best for advice for this subject lol. But keep up to date with all aspects of current affairs and try and make a list of a few examples (say in the past year) of affairs regarding each topic.

Write heaps of practice essays and know all of your definitions by heart. I have a fairly extensive list of definitions, if you pm me I can send them to you, some of them are a little scratchy though!

We were told that it's best to keep definitions to two sentences - first: define the term; second: give an example

We have International politics and that class always has enough. From there, most of the students choose International Studies over National Politics.

I think we might get a class with 7 because there is a Music Styles class running this year with 7 in it so I'll argue that. I have 5 confirmed students wanting to do Nat.

I only have room to do one. A lot of people aren't interested in Australian politics. A lot like different international issues. I'll probably do international if nat  doesn't run.

I also wanted international :( When i picked the subject i didn't relise there were 2 types, i thought Unit 3 was international and unit 4 was national, or something like that, :-[

Its an okayyy subject, but i would have liked to learn more on foreign issues, disagreements between nations, types of government systems world wide etc, ah well.
