Timetabling Changes

Hey guys, for my subject, we've been told that most of us have to change to another time thats just been opened up on Alloc8. Our current class is like 162% overfull so they want to even it out.

Only thing is, I've spent the last 2 weeks thrashing out my timetable to be perfect to have Wednesday off, but the new class is on this day!!!! Can they force your timetable to change?

Or can you just rearrange temporarily some subjects and say "soz I'm doing some other subject at the same time" and then change back later??

Or will they just go on Alloc8 and change your timetable without asking??

They shouldn't be able to do that. Wait it out, and see how many will move (they opened up a new lecture for one of my subjects today and it's already at 34%). Having said that, they changed mine without telling me. Jerks.

Even if they do, you can always just show up to the original lecture and they'll be none the wiser :D

(unless this is a tutorial?)

Seems like a tute/workshop/lab problem to me... If it is then yes they can change you out of no where.
They did it to me in 1st yr :@ out of no where I had 6hrs straight.
They then sent me an email apologising (yeah like that made me any happier =( )
And if you're lucky enough to be one of the ones that they let stay thats great! also is its a lecture then just change it doesn't matter as you can hop into any lectures, well until a mid sem test comes. but thats great you got a whole day on wess to study for it.
