Does anyone use the Nelson Bio Activity Manual Units 3 and 4?
Thoughts? Comments?

Specifically, what are the pracs relating to membranes like? I'm thinking of purchasing but am curious to hear your thoughts. Is it worth it ?

Any pdf's would be great haha

Thanks (:

I did a couple of the things in that book when my teacher photocopied it for us but overall I don't think its worth it. Try and get a copy of the Biozone book (I think that's what it was called) if you want something similar but better. I'm sure someone on this forum will have details on how to buy it since I'm pretty sure you have to directly order it from the publisher to buy it (well, it's cheaper this way at the least).

the activity manual is not very good unless your teacher has loads of pracs to do from there.

biozone has loads of notes in great detail. PM me if you want to buy the 2008 version, its in excellent condition.

A lot of Biozone seems 'irrelevant' but it's extremely good for practising how to word your answers and as practise in applying concepts you already know to new and interesting scenarios (like in the exam) as opposed to those repetitive and dry textbook questions which directly ask you to state the theory.
