IQ = 140, bet if I didnt study my ATAR would be <30

therefore ATAR and IQ have no correlation

Guys, internet IQ tests do not actually measure your IQ, just thought i'd throw that out there :P

I keep meaning to get mine measured but
a) price
b) i'm lazy

There'd be a correlation, but I don't think it's causative.

mine is not from the internet, I had a proper test done. From that, my total IQ was 140.

My dad's is 155. I haven't been tested yet but he thinks I'll beat him.
At poorer schools. IQ and ATAR are definitely correlated.

FB says I'm 140-150 which doesn't mean much, but I got ~100%ile on the shapes section of the UMAT so it's probably a bit below 140 I assume..

Mmm, I had it tested a long time ago and it was quite high but I'm pretty sure it's come down.

I don't have a particularly high opinion of IQ tests anyway, since they're based around statistical moderation.

>155! That would mean your dad (and maybe you) is classified as a genius.

ATAR = IQ x studying x attitude

that formula encompasses everything, there is no single factor I think

Lol, I hope this doesn't turn into a psychology thread :P

FWIW,
I honestly believe IQ tests don't prove much more than one's ability to do well on IQ tests.

Yeh my dad's a Mensan. I haven't been tested yet so I'm still unproven in the realms of IQ etc. I think attitude partially comes under intelligence. There's a boy in my class who studies very hard, I try to learn absolutely everything I can about studying as hard as he does and how I can do it. On the contrary, he doesn't learn anything from me because he doesn't listen.

I've never seen it, but I seriously doubt it. If it's not being administered by a psychologist then generally no (which is why none of the internet ones are worth anything).

I never saw the point of mensa tbh
