A rumour about driving lessons (didn't know where to put this)

I heard from my friend that an hour with a driving instructor counts towards two hours in your log book? can anyone confirm/ disapprove this?

In New South Wales, a driving instructor hour counts for three in the log book.

I am fairly sure though that there is no such policy in Victoria.

Yes, only in NSW.

For NSW:
Quote

A kind of positive for P test:

haha.  i'm totally kicking your ass with a grand total of 45 mins so far (which nearly ended in disaster and I haven't been driving since :P)

I've done the 120+ hours and I still nearly had an accident today, other road users are your worst enemy sometimes...

I get second-hand embarrassment from their poor antics.
My mom won't let me drive until I get an instructor, she's afraid of passing on her "bad habits"
and since this year is VCE, no time.....

I don't think I've ever actually seen somebody cross legally at the tram terminus at UoM (including me so I really shouldn't whinge)
