i just changed from european studies to spanish last week and hate it already and want to change into journalism.
but the lecture for the new subject clashes with a lecture i already have (and the two subjects are at two different campuses.)
Do you think i would be CONSIDERABLY DISADVANTAGED if i missed the one hour lecture regularly... i know I can listen to it online but they always talk about the benefit of attending the lecture.... what do you guys think?

also is there any way I can check to see if a time slot for a tutorial is FULL before enrolling in the unit... I don't really want to enroll in it and discontinue spanish if the only tutorial times that work for me are full...

If it's recorded, then probably not *considerably* disadvantaged, unless it's one of those lectures where you do a bit of group work / it's a very interactive lecture / etc.
Also take into consideration whether the lecturer provides good, detailed notes.

I missed several contract law lectures last year (and they weren't even recorded!) because the lecturer's notes were brilliant, and it didn't disadvantage me at all (by which I mean I did as badly as I would have if I'd attended the lectures, lol)

And about checking if the tutorial is full - contact the unit coordinator (and the tutor, if you can find out who that is)
