I reckon 100% is pretty good so that might get u a 50 if this trend continues

I've heard that getting a 41 in Literature is pretty hard so by obtaining that study score obviously means that you are a very capable English student.

Although it is still quite early to tell, if you:

1.  Continue your consistency (ie. keep up the good study habits)
2.  Stay at the top of your cohort in your SACs.
3.  Kill the exam.

Then I would say a 45+ for English this year wouldn't be surprising.  :D

I'd say the standards jump from 1/2 to 3/4 though by quite a lot (at least in my case). The problem with 1/2 English is that no one really tries (yes, admit it) and I did get almost 100% on everything in 1/2 myself too just by putting in some mild effort and actually reading the damn texts. Obviously I'm not saying you're going to do badly, but just be wary not to get overconfident or negligent in the coming year due to your past results since once people start putting in effort, the tables can turn easily (as they did to me, I never once got an A+ in English SACs in year 12 despite having straight A+'s in 1/2).

However, given your 41 in Lit, I'd still agree on the 45+ (so yes I did basically just write a paragraph of utter crap).

I think what shinny is trying to say, is that you definitely have the potential to get a 45 in english, so long as you don't get overconfident or cocky. Don't go into it going "oh yeah I can get a 45 easy" because then you won't.

Well my other point (since it's not like I only got those marks because I stopped trying; it was other reasons) is that the standards do change and people shouldn't be like, OMGTHISGUY'SGONNAGET50. Just a preemptive warning really against those kind of replies.

thanks a lot for your input and encouragement guys, its a big help.
particularly the posts by wombifat and shinny helped a lot, because i do need to not get overly cocky or arrogant. I certainly don't want to breeze through english thinking 'oh this is trivial for me, i've done lit already' and then end up with a poor study score.
to those out there currently studying 'the line', what do you think of it?
i have my first SAC (expository prompt) on it this coming tuesday :P
