Calm down pip, it's not an easy subject so everybody is probably in the same boat as you. If you're confused with how much you need to know, just look in the study design ( i know it's vague, but it's important) or ask your teacher. If you need practice answering questions my advice to you would be to gather some past exams and their relevent assessment reports. Use the examiners advice to start and structure your own responses, and then take them to your teacher and hopefully they will mark it for you. If you're finding the content extremely stressful, take a step back and break everything down into steps. It's not that difficult if you think of the course as being several seperated topics. I tutor the Russian and Chinese revolution and this is the way i teach my students. It prevents you from being bombarded with information.

Hopefully i've given you some helpful information. If not, just pm me and i'll answer any questions you have.

thanks amnesiac
lol its probably not the best to vent right after a sac right?!
Thats useful advice i think i will have a go at the exams and examiners reports.. i have just found that because i was studying for the AOS 1 sac i neglected the AOS 2 work we had begun on and thus have totally lost track of the 'story'. And then it was frustrating to do the sac and have no idea where to put what information, events ect which was stressfull because it's worth 50% of unit 3... oh well i'll wait till i get the sac back to assess the damage

Depends what format your SAC is. If you're doing those 10 mark short answer questions, remember to add dates for every event that you mention, and the significance of the event, not just what happened! Try to group problems/tensions into political, social and economic sections, which will make information easier to remember, and help your answers flow better. Leaders? Focus on Sieyes, Lafayette and Mirabeau primarily, especially the former. I also recall looking at AOS1 France as a continuous stream of events - during which each event basically contributed to another, like a domino effect - mention Marxist historian, Lefebvre, who viewed the revolution as occurring in 4 stages to back this up. I can't remember much else right now, but good luck - as long as you follow the study design, you'll be fine (:

Good luck!
