Where can I purchase fire-works in Melbourne?

Does anyone know of any good places in Melbourne where one can purchase fire-works?

I remember when I was in Indonesia one time a few friends of mine, we all got together and purchased some fire-works. We lit them up and it was pretty cool.

Can you do this here in Australia? Just wondering.

Come to the west side, i recommend st.albans in particular (i dont condone any illegal activity, you shouldn't buy fireworks at all because theyre dangerous)

well for starters, there a place in St Albans. Where there is an IGA Store. Next that on the Left when you look at the Store, will be another shop. Like pi said, It would help if your Viet or Asain, but ask the counterperson if they have fireworks. Then if they deny it, start to pressure them like say youll call the police. Then.. They will show you the load of fireworks :D

Footscray market as well, but you've gotta be real smooth when asking around, if you seem like a nark you'll get you're arse kicked lolol.

I think it's called Tan-Tans, he got busted and fined really badly recently though, not sure if he's still selling.
