Hey guys,
I just received an email for an Access Melbourne Scholarship, and since I have to provide bank details, I was wondering if there was any way to check if it's legit? It only states my VTAC ID in the email, and not my uni student number. and the scholarship doesnt appear under the 'Scholarship' tab on the estudent. Thanks :)

Does it give any details about how you would receive it etc? Is it surprising that you received it or would you say your SEAS and ATAR was competitive?
Maybe give 13MELB a call tomorrow.

It did give me a link to accept it, and it looks very legit, but considering that I knew offers were already made after ATARs came out, and after the offers came out, I'm finding it a little strange. My ATAR isn't that competitive, but it's 95+.  I might pop in to see them tomorrow I guess.

2. when/where do i get a diary
Buy your own I guess.

3. my student id photo got 'approved' a few days ago, can i go and pick it up any time now?
Yes. From Moot Court G10 Old Quad near Chemistry Building from 1 to 4 pm

4. also, what kind of myki am i meant to get? the form says that the yearly passes aren't for tertiary students, do i just buy a concession myki and top it up with money?
Yeah. Myki pass for 28 days is cheaper than myki money/day to day. If you have a health care card under your own name, you don't need a PTV Concession card (the one with your pic) but if you don't have a HCC, you'll need the PTC concession card. Go to student admin on my.unimelb.edu.au and under Transport concession, have the PTV Concession form emailed to your uni email.

Any chance you can post the link? It's relatively competitive, and there's a possibility someone has declined theirs.
Good idea about seeing them though, safest option.

I received an offer via email aswell and got it on the 19th of January. When I went on the unimelb portal and had a look under scholarships nothing was there. However it didn't really bother me cause I accepted the offer through some other link it gave me and I got a confirmation email afterwards. After reading your post I got a little worried cause my atar wasn't great or anything, and also because the majority of scholarships were offered in December when atars were released. Had a look at the student portal again and it was there! So maybe give it a few days or so? Otherwise, call 13MELB to check it out :) And is this what the email looked like?

Congrats on the scholarships!!!!!   ;D ;D

On another note, how do we take our photos? I don't really understand whether it has to be like a passport photo and is there a way we can go in and they will take one for us? Thanks

BasicAcid do you know if they are actually at Alan Gilbert? I'm not too sure if they've completely switched to the CaptureMe system.

As someone who needs a new student card but that is given no information on being a 'new student' due to being buried/embedded in the university already and that is also ancient/old, WHAT THE HELL IS A CAPTURE ME SYSTEM?

You upload your own photo for the ID via https://www.idmobile.com.au/CaptureME
Then your photo will be submitted for approval, and once approved you are able to collect your ID from 1PM-4PM from one of the collection points

I think you might have to contact your student centre for a new student card since there are different procedures for existing students

You get to use your own photo now? That is such bulls**t. My id photo is all yellow and blurry, why couldn't they have this 2 years ago?

When they did my photo the room was incredibly dark, I ended up having blacked-out eyes and looking like a possessed person from a horror flick.

I think I came to uni a year early.
